Plot Synopsis:
Perfume is set in the colourful backdrop of 18th
century France centering on the life of an
unfortunate boy, Jean Baptiste, born in the slums of
a Paris fish market. The boy is abandoned but then
rescued by passers by and placed in an orphanage.
Soon clear that he an unusual ability to separate
smells. He struggles in the search of a perfect
perfume which is where the story turns more
gruesome as humans become the ingredients. The
perfumes have a powerful effect and that is important
to remember.
